Neskantaga First Nation

Neskantaga First Nation is located on Attawapiskat Lake , 280 km. (170 miles) north of Geraldton, 180 km. (110 miles) northeast of Pickle Lake and 560 km. (340 miles) north of Thunder Bay . It is located at approximately 52º N Latitude, 88º West Longitude. The community relocated to its present location on Grandmother's point in the early 1990's, and the process is still continuing to this day. The move to the new location was due to a number of factors.

Neskantaga First Nation is a pro-development community.
